Scientists have found that eating processed foods can lead to heart disease, and even early death. Overly processed foods are typically higher in sugar, salt, bad fat, toxic chemicals and are manufactured through various industrial processes.
These include burgers, chicken nuggets, ice cream, instant noodles and ready-meals.
Scientists from the University of Navarra in Spain looked at data from around 20,000 adults over 10 years.
They discovered that eating more than four servings of “ultra-processed” food per day was linked with a 62% increased risk of death from any cause, compared with those who ate less than two servings.
Lets take a look at Chicken McNuggets
Have you every wondered what really goes in your Chicken McNuggets?
Chicken, water, salt, modified cornstarch, sodium phosphates, chicken broth powder (chicken broth, salt, and natural flavoring (chicken source)), seasoning (vegetable oil, extracts of rosemary, mono, di- and triglycerides, lecithin). Battered and breaded with water, enriched bleached wheat flour (niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), yellow corn flour, bleached wheat flour, modified corn starch, salt, leavening (baking soda, sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium aluminum phosphate, monocalcium phosphate, calcium lactate), spices, wheat starch, dried whey, corn starch, vegetable shortening.
According to the McDonald’s Corporation, Chicken McNuggets are made with ingredients including autolyzed yeast extract, sodium phosphates, sodium aluminum phosphate, “hydrogenated soybean oil with TBHQ and citric acid added to preserve freshness” and “Dimethylpolysiloxane added as an antifoaming agent.”
TBHQ, a chemical preservative, is used as a stabilizer in perfumes, resins, varnishes and oil field chemicals. It is used to extend the storage life of foods. High doses of TBHQ in laboratory animals have revealed to cause DNA damage and a tendency for them to develop cancerous precursors in their stomachs.
Eating as little as one gram of this substance, can cause:
- nausea, vomiting
- a ringing feeling in the ears
- sense of suffocation
Dimethylpolysiloxane, a type of silicone, and the main ingredient in Silly Putty. Says Wikipedia:
“PDMS is also used as a component in silicone grease and other silicone based lubricants, as well as in defoaming agents, mold release agents, damping fluids, heat transfer fluids, polishes, cosmetics, hair conditioners and other applications. PDMS has also been used as a filler fluid in breast implants, although this practice has decreased somewhat, due to safety concerns. PDMS is used variously in the cosmetic and consumer product industry as well. For example, PDMS can be used in the treatment of head lice…”
And what about the chicken itself? It’s a factory farmed chicken that’s normally being fed GMO products and treated with vaccines and hormones.
DETOX TOXINS FROM YOUR BODY
If you want your liver to function properly (eliminate toxins and cleanse all the impurities) you should consume reishi mushrooms daily. In, a study in Food and Chemical Toxicology showed that using reishi mushroom reversed chemical-driven liver damage in mice. Reishi mushroom is known for its anti cancer properties. It eliminates free radicals and promotes liver cell regeneration. Just take 1/2 tablespoon a day!
