Do you ever think about the foods you eat on a daily basis? Do you ever read the ingredient label?  Unfortunately, most of us don’t. However, reading the ingredient label is the number one way to know what’s food you are eating and how processed it is.

Processed Meats

The International Agency for Research on Cancer  has identified  processed meat as a carcinogen something that  causes cancer. Examples include hot dogs, pepperoni, corned beef, beef jerky or ham.A 2011 study by the World Cancer Research Fund/American Institute of Cancer Research discovered that those who ate the most processed meats had a 17 percent higher risk of developing colorectal cancer.

Farmed Salmon
In case you don’t know, there is a huge difference between farmed and wild caught salmon. Farmed fish is constantly treated with pesticides to combat sea lice. Additionally, it’s given antibiotics to staff off diseases.

Farmed fish is full of Omega-6 fatty acids that lead to higher levels of inflammation. Inflammation is responsible for all the diseases and health issues such as cancer, diabetes, arthritis, coronary artery disease and even Alzheimer’s.

Processed White Flours
Current manufacturing processes for bleached flour consists of treating it with fungicides, pesticides and insecticides from the very first step to the final packaging.  There are currently approximately 60 FDA approved chemicals (most of them can cause cancer) for the manufacturing of white flour.

Microwave Popcorn

The microwave popcorn we eat almost daily has been treated with a lot of toxic chemicals which include insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and fumigants. Additionally,

Microwave popcorn contains PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) which is a likely carcinogen and can also be found in Teflon.

Canned Tomatoes
Most cans are lined with  bisphenol-A (BPA), which has been found to genetically alter the brain cells of rats. It’s been linked to reproductive  issues, diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease and more.

And since tomatoes are highly acidic, it draws out more of the cancer causing BPA into the food from the lining.

    Good to read and know the possible toxins out there i our regular foods and to avoid them as much as possible, I personally am doing a good job but need to up my game thx for the info

      Do your best, then say a blessing over your food and trust that it is blessed. To worry about your food will have a negative placebo effect!
