Hansen’s markets their products as “natural”, however, their sodas contain sucralose which is FAR from natural. “All natural” should mean it only has ingredients made by nature and not chemically created junk. And yet, we’ve been lied to again.
Take a look at the ingredients and the real dangers of sucralose
Ingredients: Pure Triple Filtered Carbonated Water, Citric Acid, Potassium Citrate,Sucralose (Splenda Brand), Acesulfame, Potassium, Natural Flavors (African Ginger, Mexican Limes, Californian Lemons And Madagascan Vanilla), Caramel Color. Contains No Fruit Juice.
The Real Dangers of Sucralose
It’s very crucial to understand that Splenda (sucralose) is actually NOT sugar, despite its marketing slogan “Made from sugar, so it tastes like sugar.” Splenda is a chlorinated artificial sweetener, and is really no better than aspartame.
Did you know that sucralose was discovered by accident in a laboratory? In 1976 Tate & Lyle and the Queen Elizabeth College in London were performing a joint research project that involved chemically modifying sugar. One of the scientists misunderstood “test” for “taste” and, thus, sucralose was discovered by accident.
In 1999 The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved sucralose as safe for human consumption as a general sweetener. However, there are no valid studies that support the safety of sucralose.
Sucralose Destroys Your Gut
According to a study published in the Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health, sucralose can reduce the amount of good bacteria in your intestines by 50 percent. Additionally, it increases the pH level in your intestines, and affect a glycoprotein in your body that can lead to serious health consequences.
Our bodies treat sucralose as a poison
A recent study published in the European Journal of Nutrition found that rats metabolize sucralose in the same way they metabolize other dangerous drugs and toxins. The body treats Splenda as a poison, and works fast to excrete it.
It makes me very angry when companies deceive their customers by using misleading “marketing tactics.” Hansen’s could always switch to a natural, zero calorie sweetener, such as stevia.
Detox Your Body From This Poison
Fortunately, you can help your body to be free from the damaging and addictive effects of sucralose and other artificial sweetness. Take Spirulina! Spirulina contains chlorophyll which is used for “detoxification” by helping remove toxins such as heavy metals and other pollutants from the blood.
Try this superfood in spirulina shots (here) , blended into smoothies, or just taken with water to reap its amazing health benefits. Make sure the spirulina you take is 100% pure organic like living traditionally spirulina.
