Nutella is Poisonous for You and Your Kids!

June 8, 2020 by Anya Leave a Comment

Let’s be honest: Most people love Nutella because it is delicious! However, after two class-action lawsuits over misleading advertising, it’s no longer marketed as a healthy breakfast option . In fact, Nutella is a processed food, loaded with sugar and saturated fat. It is barely fit for human consumption, and should never be used as a breakfast for children.

These are the ingredients that make Nutella one the most processed and toxic foods on the globe

The ingredients list for Nutella, as published on the jar, reads: “Sugar, palm oil, hazelnuts, cocoa, skim milk, reduced minerals whey (milk), soy lecithin as emulsifier, vanillin: an artificial flavor”.

Vanillin (an artificial flavor)

Synthetic vanillin is simply a cheap and unhealthy alternative for real vanilla extract. Today, most vanillin is made from eugenol or guaiacol, petrochemicals which are often derived from from crude oil.

Additionally, synthetic vanillin contains MSG (monosodium glutamate). It can impair our brain as much as to cause disabilities like  ALS, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and olivopontocerebellar degeneration.

Palm Oil

Palm oil is used to the popular hazelnut spread its smooth texture, and boosts its shelf life

Did you know that a key ingredient in Nutella could increase a person’s risk of cancer, scientists have warned?

In fact, the European Food Standards Agency has warned palm oil could produce carcinogenic chemicals when it’s heated above 200°C.

So in reality, it’s not the palm oil itself that is in question, but rather what happens to the oil during the refining process to remove the color and neutralize the smell.

Soy lecithin

Soy lecithin is practically a waste product of soy containing solvents and pesticides. It is often used as an emulsifier to keep water and fats from separating in foods.

One of the reasons soy lecithin is bad is because almost all soy in our modern day comes from GMO  crops which have all of the accompanying health dangers, including an increased chance of having cancer.
