Medicine in a cup: this ginger soup can fight the cold, flu and a sinus infection

December 12, 2018 by Anya Leave a Comment

This healthy delicious turmeric cauliflower soup is anti-inflammatory, beneficial for the gut and your immune system. It’s also naturally vegan, packed with the nutrients your body needs daily.

In case you can’t tell from my recent posts but I’m absolutely in love with turmeric. I add it to pretty much everything and I am seriously loving how I’m feeling. It does so much for your body!

Turmeric

Curcumin in turmeric is a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals that cause damage to the body. Curcumin fights free radicals in the body and inhibits the release of chemicals in the body that triggers the process of inflammation. Additionally, turmeric has been found to kill cancer cells and prevent more from growing. You can find the best organic kind here

Ginger

Ginger is a powerful anti-inflammatory spice. It supports digestion, reduces pain, rich in antioxidants, boosts immune system.

Coconut oil

The unique health benefits of coconut oil are due to the abundance of lauric acid. Unfortunately, we don’t get enough of this valuable nutrient. Lauric acid  is transformed into monolaurin in the body which exhibits antimicrobial properties and is effective against viruses.  (find organic coconut oil here)
