We need to stop sanitizing everything and let bacteria back in our lives

February 7, 2020 by Anya Leave a Comment

We have to admit, the use of hand sanitizers in our modern day world is at its highest. But did you know that by doing so, we stop building up resistance to bacteria and thus doing much more harm than good.  The result – the greatest number of children and adults with allergies that we have ever had.

Allergies, Heart Disease and Even Depression Linked to Being ‘Too Clean’

If you’re healthy, exposure to bacteria and viruses can serve as “natural vaccines” that strengthen your immune system and provide long-lasting immunity against disease. You need to get this healthy exposure to germs in your environment to avoid getting diseases.

Neuroscientist Charles Raison, MD,  said:

“Since ancient times benign microorganisms, sometimes referred to as ‘old friends,’ have taught your immune system how to tolerate other harmless microorganisms, and in the process, reduce inflammatory responses that have been linked to the development of most modern illnesses, from cancer to depression.”

Sanitizing Eliminates the Bacteria that Build Your Immune System

Did you know that as a child your immune system depends on the exposure to daily germs. If you constantly use sanitizers, you get rid of the bacteria that helps build up your immune system.  And thus making  antibiotic-resistant bugs prevalent in your body and limiting the ability to fight dangerous viruses.

No doubt, we over sterilize everything. Our immune systems and overall health are compromised.  Early exposure to bacteria is absolutely necessary for preventing allergies, asthma and auto immune disorders.

A study of over 200 children proved that parents who licked the pacifier and put it back in  their kids had stronger immune systems and overall health. They developed less allergies and asthma.

Underexposure to bacteria produces lazy immune system which leads to allergic reactions to everything foreign.

Bacteria are good for the brain.

A 2010 study performed by Sage College in Troy, New York, states that certain bacteria naturally found in soil can stimulate neuron growth and raise serotonin levels thus improving learning abilities.

Next time, let your child play with dirt and stop constantly using sanitizers. It will help your child build a much stronger immune system!
