Study Finds Having Fresh Flowers in Your Home Reduces Levels of Pain and Stress

You might be quite surprised but having  fresh flowers in your home is actually good for your health.

The American Society for Horticulture Science conducted a study trying to determine if flowers have therapeutic effect on surgical patients, and the results surprised everyone.  Patients were split into different rooms – with plants and without. The result – those who were exposed to flowers exhibited less pain, anxiety, lower blood pressure.

Flowers Can Relieve Anxiety and stress

A 2008 study discovered that those patients who had flowers in their rooms experienced less anxiety and were more positive about their surgeries.

 According to a study published in Complementary Therapies In Medicine, flowers makes us feel less stressed.

The study supplied women with a fresh vase of roses for their dorm rooms and the results showed them to be significantly less stressed out.

So if you’ve been stressed out or anxious, go ahead and get yourself some flowers.

Additionally, fresh flowers add humidity to the air

Fresh flowers add humidity to a space. Lack of moisture causes your skin to be dry  can cause dry throats, sneezes, and more.
