Dangerous dog food? Reports Confirm Purina is Poisoning, Killing Thousands of Dogs

October 14, 2019 by Anya 3 Comments

Do you have your dog’s food label in front of you? Do you trust the ingredients? It’s crucial to give your dogs whole unprocessed foods. Most people blindly trust the marketing slogans and efforts of massive dog food companies such as Beneful® .  We all know the fun colorful TV ads that make dog owners to believe that the food is full of healthy ingredients that your dog must have. But nothing could be further from the truth! Those colorful ingredients come from artificial food dyes: Red 40, Yellow 6, Yellow 5, Blue 2. You can find a ton of studies on the risk of consuming them.

In fact, The Consumer Affairs website lists pages and pages of reports  from dog owners who say Beneful® damaged or even killed their dogs.

One of the most documented issues is “behavioral problems” resulting from your dog consuming too many artificial food dyes.

  • Yellow 5 – Also known as tartrazine or E102, this dye requires a warning label in Europe.  It’s linked to asthma, allergies, thyroid tumors, lymphomas, ADHD, and chromosomal damage.
  • Red 40 – Not only it’s laced with cancer-causing contaminants, it’s also linked to ADHD and hyperactivity in children.
  • Blue 2 –  Known to cause brain tumors and allergic reactions.
  • Yellow 6 – A few studies have found it being linked to asthma and issues. It has caused adrenal gland and kidney tumors in animals.

So after knowing about these extremely toxic ingredients in most commercial dog food brands, why risk it?

Fortunately, by simply adding turmeric with some coconut oil to your dog’s food, you can improve your dog’s health significantly. Turmeric has been shown to contain Anti-Inflammatory Properties,. It’s been used to relieve joint pain, promote cardiovascular health, help with digestive issues and bowel health, and can even prevent and stop cancerous cells.

Hi Terry! I usually give one teaspoon a day. You don’t need more than that. I add both coconut oil and turmeric
