DIY Homemade Organic Ketchup in Just 2 Minutes

June 29, 2020 by Anya 2 Comments

Ketchup is one of the most used condiments in America yet it’s processed and full of bad ingredients. In fact most store bought brands such as Heinz, Hunt’s  contain high fructose corn syrup that comes from genetically modified corn and is made into a sweetener.

High fructose syrup is very toxic for your bodies as it causes inflammation and can lead to obesity, and all other health problems. Additionally, excess fructose may increase harmful substances called advanced glycation end products (AGEs), which can damage our cells.

This will make you think twice about ingesting high fructose corn syrup.

DIY Homemade Organic Ketchup

So here is how you can make your own healthy ketchup and the best part is you will know exactly what’s in it!

Ingredients

1 6 oz can organic tomato paste
¼-1/2 cup apple cider vinegar (find it here)
½ teaspoon sea salt or Himalayan salt (find it here)
½ teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon cumin
⅛ teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon mustard powder

Method

Add all ingredients to a small bowl and mix well.

That’s it!
