However, along with the all those hours in the son there usually comes one inevitable thing: sunburn. Fortunately, there are many household items you can use to cool the burning, itching, and peeling
The main ingredient in this remedy is apple cider vinegar. (here) Vinegar possesses antiseptic properties that can kill germs and relieve pain. Apple cider vinegar works by balancing the skin’s acid and alkalinity levels so that the healing process takes place. It can help reduce redness and blisters.
DIY Sunburn remedy
- Clean washcloth
- Raw apple cider vinegar (here)
- coconut oil (here)
- Optional: Lavender and Peppermint Essential Oils (where to buy therapeutic essential oils)
Directions
- First, wet the washcloth and add a little apple cider vinegar to the cloth. Dab the wet cloth onto your sunburn, soaking the skin.
- Next, rub on some coconut oil (here) to the area.
By the next day, your skin should be significantly better. You should continue using coconut oil for a few days to help heal the skin.
